October 2025 update: The RAd Health trial has finished recruiting young people to complete these surveys. You can read more information about our process and the surveys below.

How are young people involved in RAd Health?
We want to hear from young people about what matters to them in managing their healthcare.
As part of the RAd Health trial we invited young people from practices that are part of the RAd Health trial to complete online surveys. Young people were recruited to this part of the study through their practice (via text message).
Survey participants were reimbursed for their time. They also had the opportunity (with further reimbursement) to:
- Give their permission for the study team to anonymously access information about their healthcare costs (MBS/PBS data)
- Participate in an telephone interview
What were the surveys about?
The surveys asked questions about young people’s health and well being. This included questions about:
- Healthcare use and costs
- Quality of life and mental health
- Substance use
- Sexual health
